No HM for me either... Hey Dave, you "sound" happy that Greg is gone... I hope next "Greg" is better than the last one...

Oh man... since when I came back from "hometime" that I have been going back and forth between TN and NC... on the same roads... Same congested road, with lots of lights and traffic and construction... and drop & hooks... I am getting tired of that... I want those looooong hauls to the west... Well... dsp said she things they got all the loads they needed covered... I hope so... And now, what about sending me 2500 miles away somewhere?

Here is where I and other fellow co. driver parked last night...



At the end of the parking lot of the supermarket where we delivered this morning... We were unloaded in the middle of the parking lot... I was first and then left to get my reload... He was second and stayed there for pictures...

Now I am here...



At this small Shell station in TN... Was going to park at a rest area, as usual.... but had to buy ice.... So, I came here and I liked this place...
The bathroom is filthy... there's a small convenience store, saw some tables but I wonder if they serve any food there... and kind of food that might be... but hey... that doesn't matter to me... I prefer to come to a place like this where I can find a good parking place and it's quiet... rather than a big ts with lots of trucks and tight spots...

 

I was at my last stop loading up cardboard rolltainers, I just shoved the last cart on and I looked down to see a snake go under the cart and head for the front of the trailer... I don't like snakes so I went the opposite way and shut the doors on the trailer, hauled it 170 miles back to Scottsville. the snake is now a warehouse problem and not a driver issue..................

Yeah, always found the HazMat loads of Coke and Pepsi interesting.

 

Way to go, Chopper. Driver safety is number 1, and that snake is no longer a safety issue for you

 

I've never spoken to Roland prior to 8 AM. But dang if he didn't call me about 7:30 yesterday and ask me if I was coming to the office.

Chopper you have probably scarred that snake for life! Up and moving it so far and all...

Hey Chopper, I hear that snake, (depending on how it is prepared,) can be very good eating!

Of course I've never tried it, nor will I.

Sitting at our Columbus yard until 10 in the morning...because that's when the clinic I have to go to opens so I can have my blood sugar checked. Borderline diabetic late last year....have started losing weight again and laying off the beloved apple fritters. That and the Metformin should make me golden. Hoping to get off the med by the end of the year.
