San Felipe, NM. Looking at the Casino and debating. Between the weight and I-25 south from Denver and headwinds, a nice 6.1mpg. Woke this morning with a case of the F-its.

Congratulations on completion of your first student. My first one had to leave the truck due to illness and he only had 40 hours to completion. I'm delivering in El Paso tomorrow, picking my my second student, then leaving out on Saturday.

Somewhere in NE, I-80 x 211.
I got a message this morning telling me that my load had been rescheduled for pick up until 0700 this morning. It came in at 0657.
LOL, I wasn't awake yet and didn't read it until 0830.
It had originally been scheduled for yesterday, but it was a preloaded and I had plenty of time so the plan was always to get it this morning. Just, not that early.
I really don't appreciate feeling pressured to cut my home time short to pick up a load, especially when I know the delivery window and have already planned for it.
So I pick up the load at around 10 and do a Mac 22 giving my delivery time as 1000 tomorrow and a PTA of 1200. The window is until 1159.
The PTA update came back a couple hours later, and it was set for 1000.
??? WTF?
Sorry, but I can't get it there by 0800.
So a bit later I did a Mac 34 with my original times, and now my PTA is back to 1200.
I really hate the games they play just to get me to squeeze out a few extra hours during a day, especially when I can only work 70 in 8.
And I hate it even more when they try to cut short my home time hours, even by a few. I've EARNED every minute!
I have no intention or inclination to cut short my home time, nor to get in the position to take a 34. -
At Little America, WY on my way to Denver with a HEAVY Command load.
Was told that Swift is currently overbooked in Denver, still betting I have to play "planner games" in order to get something I want. And of course Command has NOTHING in Denver. -
Finally got a load out of Phoenix going to Houston, all of 13k lbs. Humped it 624 miles today so I can make Houston tomorrow and spend the night at home before dropping Saturday morning. Camping tonite a a rest area on I-10E an hour from Ft. Stockton. Lots of crazy drivers going through El Paso..as usual.

I had a load out the day before my home time ended. My home time ended today.
How overbooked can they be? -
Overbooked as more freight than trucks.Moosetek13 Thanks this.

Last time I saw a bubble map Denver had a big green bubble (more loads than drivers) as did Seattle, LA, Chicago and pretty much all the upper midwest through New England and Atlantic states. Couple months ago all those areas had big red bubbles (more drivers than loads). I wish the bubble map was something we could view online, but if you get to a terminal ask if they have the video screen bubble map in dispatch.
