Starting out with Schneider

One month in....so far so good...learning more and more!!..Glad for the extra coaching on blind side docking, came in handy at a particularly difficult drop I had to make took me at least a half hour to blind side back into a 45 slot....never done it before and all the driver side slots were full...figures...lol..o well finally got it with lot's of getting out to look I think I hurt my knee coz it really hurts.
Anyways chilling in my truck ..who I have christened Nancy....having a frothy beverage watching world cup football!! (Yes it is called football by people who know!!..not "soccer"!!)
I think the Sirius XM is a truckers dream...I got one and it has saved me tons of data charges, I only have a small complaint coz it seems to cut out in the morning, rest of the day is fine...very weird...
Audible.com another excellent resource...listened to a book for most of the day today....total bliss..open road good book what more could a man ask for.
Yes I know how that sounds but for some reason I really love it!

First month and generally most people I've met have been pleasant and polite...however for the first time today I had the distinct misfortune to sit close to a foul mouthed bigot at a TA while waiting for my dinner...I won't go into details suffice to say that if all humans were like this man there would be no humanity left, thank God not all think like him...

Some people just need to chill out life to short to waste time on people like that.....funny though u just doing your job and he thinking your looking for a confrontation!!
TA seems to attract a certain type...seriously considering giving it a wide berth from now on...

 

90 DAYS!!!...yayy me!..lol...got a newer truck 2013 Cascadia didn't come with a apu or parksmart so I still have to idle the truck to stay cool at night. I idle the trcuk so much sometimes I get concerned I'm damaging it lol, though I understand that idling doesn't damage a truck..is that true?
Working towards 6 months, the minute I get there I'm going to get on the IC program I figure its the easiest way to get to top mileage pay even though I'll forfeit benefits like health insurance etc. My goal is to have my own truck by the end of my 2nd year.
