I see no one taught the 520 how to display mile markers properly when decending. As in westbound going lower. On I-88 West bound out of Chicago I noticed the miles are always 1 off. But eat bound as they get higher they are displayed properly. Has anyone else commented on this?

    Can you clarify more?

For example... if the mile marker is 105.5 it will stay 105 till you hit the 106 marker. Same in reverse... it will stay 106 until you actually hit the 105 mile marker, not as soon as you get to the 105.9 mile marker.

    Thanks,
    mark

The problem he is talking about
When traveling up in count it tracks mm to milepost ie: 1 to 2 to 3. When traveling down in count it goes 3 to 2 to 1

Isn't that the way mile markers go? In numerical order? 1,2,3,4,5,6.....

Ok what I noticed was that in both directions East and West the 520 displays the correct Mile (whole number) at the correct location. But read on.

Traveling eastbound where the numbers go up everything looks fine. At the 104 the display shows 104. At the 104-1/2 the display shows 104 (as it should be) At the 105 the display changes to 105. That's continues and all is good going upward.

But going the other direction Westbound and 'down' it shows a little different. At the 106 the display shows 106. Since we're going down the next mmarker is 105-1/2 the display should start showing 105 BUT it doesn't it still shows 106. Then when we finally hit the 105 it will display the 105. Because it's programed to show the exact whole number mile at the exact whole number location.

But it's the inbetween every whole mile number the display is incorrect. To many what-if's to list why this should be corrected. I have only noticed this where the number are descending. The roadway I was on when I noticed this was I-88 Tollway west of Chicago and I believe those are correct mile numbers I used in the explanation.

It will only switch over at whole numbers. So counting down from 106 to 105, until it hits 105, it will show 106.

I will see if we can improve on this.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I am just wondering how important users think the bread-crumbs feature is and how many actually use it. I have on occasion used it, only to get out of a few complex warehouse or factory sites but other than that, not much use?
