They added 3 pallets (hot) for a stop in Ohio. Everything would have been fine for an afternoon delivery 750 miles from ATL but there were some problems with the load, first off, the 3 pallets were not listed on the manifest and the advance pay was not showing as well which means the load may have ended up being delivered for free, not going to happen. So they had to re-do all the paperwork . Then there was a heavy pallet situated on top of some soft boxes, bear in mind this was a hazmat load, load securement is a biggie with the DOT. so that had to be redone. Come to find out the Non Flammable Gas placards were wrong as well, needed Flammable Gas. Can you imagine the thousands of dollars in fines from having the wrong placards??

Anyway I was up and awake for over 7 hours before getting the load road ready (due to pprwk prblms), drove a few hours and did a 2 hour break and ran some more hours off and did an 8 hour sleeper break. TM calls wondering if I made the delivery on time , I said I'm in Kentucky?
Guy sounded pretty upset. Google maps shows 11 hours drive time lol. Of course there are mountains in the way TN and KY and work zones etc lol.

Anyway I got there at midnight which if you peel off the 7 hours would have put the load late afternoon, so no drive time was lost at all. Customer was happy to get his 3 pallets and go home (Sunday).

Thomas Edison Service Plaza, Woodbridge, NJ. Made it here with 20 min to spare on my 14 after picking up a daycab load from the Avenel terminal. No way in hell did I want to stay in that little hole in the wall. It has one restroom. A men's room. No women's.

Would've been there earlier if I hadn't missed my turn to Anheuser-Busch. Took me another 30 min to loop back around. Least it was daylight still this time. The other week was my first time in the area and it was dark. I got lost; it sucked.

Here in OKC. Long day. Tried a MAC 30 once, and somehow my pta was pushed out. Reset it and did another one and get back to offers. Picking up same place that I am delivering and one is 445 miles for 2300 Wednesday night for live load, Dollar Store in Maquoketa, IA and the other one is Dollar General in Ardmore, OK, 360 miles for the 19th at 1845. Not touching either of them. I just know come morning they are going to try and dump one on me and the answer is going to be no. I know that my DM will be po'd but really do not care. Tired of these short almost 2 day runs and ones that when get mt no place to park. I guess a call to Command in the morning and see what they have. I think that I know what they are doing. Home time next Monday so keeping me close to home.

been staying busy, today only had Dublin which is less than 9 hours for the total day so I left all my stuff at home since I came home last night and figured I would go home again ending my night before 2100 and close to the dc the boss calls me asking if I had the hours to go to West Hills, well enough to get there but not get back and my medicine and bpap is at home along with everything else plus I was operating on 4 hours of sleep so I wouldnt of felt safe doing so. Tomorrow going to Turlok and picking up a backhaul at Kraft in Fresno then taking a load to Visalia so will be a decent day.

There is a ladies' room at Avehell. You need to ask at the window for the key. I've been there once, and not looking forward to a second time.

I haven't been on 80 lately, but the same thing happens on the PA Turnpickle. The state cops are writing a crapload of speeding tickets in the zones, and they double the fines in construction zones. It's rare to go through a construction zone and not see a cop have someone pulled over.

Also, the road crews have a tendency to work right out within inches of the traffic. When you pass a resurfacing crew, you need to be doing ~30, even if it's posted 55.

Today is starting off just great thanks to CSRs and Planners. Was parked in a cozy Ma n Pa a mile from shipper, started my clock and arrived at 01:30 for live load. Place is dark and no one around. Didn't look good. Notified the keyboard monkeys and get reply that shipper is closed weekends and doesn't open till 07:00. WTF!! Why in heck would they schedule me for an 01:30 when they knew they weren't even open. Never ceases to amaze me.

Now I'm chillin watching my 14 burn away. Will start answering detention notices in a couple hours. Load is gonna be late to PA now. It's the way it goes. Time for another nap.

sumner terminal..got unloaded pretty quickly. at least this part of the load went easy lol. got sent a 3 stop load that picked up at 2100 tonite and first stop was at 0600 tomorrow. declined saying be out of hours to pick up. came back with reply saying i can do a 10 when i'' empty and would be able to run it the rest. hit rply button and said "sorry...not gonna be up all day and then drive all nite." called my dl and he got it taken off me. also #####ed to him abit about yesterday. but that wasnt his fault. then got sent 2 preplans.p/u tcall load here and dewlivers at 0730 tomorrow for a live load 8 miles away. second one want me to pick up at 1000(90 miles away). and tcall in spokane wa dropyard. accepted the first load and mac 9 saying i can p/u at 1130. dispatched me on first one and took the other off. bait and switch i'm thinking
