Effingham, IL at the Petro. Pulled into Edwardsville and could not believe all of the trailers that where just dropped behind rows, with a lot of open spaces. Was talking to he man at the t-call window and he would not believe it either when I did a yard check very early this morning.

It sounds like you are pushing yourself way too hard. You need to slow down a bit and relax.
Add more time to your loads via the mac 9 so you can have a little longer break between driving shifts.

Swift people are like any other, they don't want to hear it.
It is your job to make sure you can stay safe and well rested, so use the system to your own advantage and use your time more wisely.

I have to have my morning coffee, but I can do totally without meatball subs.
I haven't had one in nearly 59 years...

I also don't mind the hit on the 70, since I don't like to work that hard in the first place.
Even so, and I don't understand how, I've managed to cross over into Platinum territory a couple times this past month.

A big part of the problem is that I haven't taken time out of the truck since Easter. Even my cat is starting to have issues with it. Time to get to Nashville for a break.

Yes, it sounds like you need a break.
We have to take care of ourselves out here. No one will do it for us.

    EASTER!?! Holy mackeral Batman!!
I'd be going nuts if I stayed in the truck that long. 5 weeks is my limit when the weathers good with 3-4 weeks in winter.

Ya ya need to stop and smell the roses once in a while.

hauling hazmat, first stop forklift driver poked a hole in a pail of this highly flammable stuff don't get on skin or breathe. Kid was dragging this leaking pail all the way down the trailer. I only noticed because I was able to peak around the end of the trailer to monitor the unloading occasionally to gauge when I might be able to leave. I saw him put everything back and I hopped up on the docks to protest, just imagine if the docks were such that you could not see inside the trailer or if I had been up in the sleeper or walking me dog and didn't witness that.

They kicked me off the docks and put the load back together and told me I was good to go. I called safety, TM and Chemtrek. No help there. So I refused to leave til I was satisfied it was cleaned up. The dock supe threw an absolute hissy fit. But he made his boys clean it up right and wouldn't even come out to give me my papers lol, he sent the kid out.

I am really surprised with as much regulation in trucking there is not a requirement to document hazmat spill/leaks at every occurrence no matter how trivial.

Anyway, in Lost Angeles now, was going to deadhead home but d have some time so will be booking a broker load home if possible.

I could not stay for that long in a truck, when otr 1 month was my limit so I can see my wife and kids. When I got on dedicated I got used to the once a week but recently got used to being home a few nights a week.
I got a friend who runs a plant trying to talk me into doing an electrical engineer apprenticeship with his company once they start hiring soon and I might think about it, its a ton more money than I can get now even during the training, overtime plus home every single night with mostly a normal schedule.

Was at the beach for my anniversary this weekend and when I was outside drinking and smoking our next door neighbor at the hotel came out who was in the area working in the oil fields and he tried to recruit me over to his company saying I could make a lot more driving some of his trucks plus get OT, seems opportunities have been coming at me lately.
