Still here where I last was, and still no load assignment.
I was told to show up tomorrow at 0830 and something might be available.
And I'm still not getting the pay I was promised after the third week here.
I got two messages today about the pay, amounting to another $65 or so - when I am owed over $900.
I called to speak with the person in charge of it, and was put off. He was talking to another driver when I called, and then left for the day without calling me back.
I'm getting really tired of this account, again.
I'll be a happy camper if I ever get paid, so I am retaining some hope. -
This is why I will not help on Surge any more. Was burned royally when helping at Moberly once. I was given the stop pay of Wal-Mart company trucks, not our L/O stop pay.Moosetek13 Thanks this.

Camped at a nice rest area half way between Witchita Falls TX and Amarillo on Hwy 287.
Wrapped up hometime and went to shipper in Pasadena for a very heavy live load. After signing in a very rude, obnoxious fugly gal told me I have no appt for load though my p/u# was valid. Thanks CSRs for rising to your level of incompetence again. The window gal assigned me a dock and said we'll get to you whenever. I figured that's better than nothing. To my pleasant surprise they had me loaded in less than two hours.
Not a bad day overall except for traffic slowdowns in Ft Worth for I-35W construction. On towards Ogden UT after my 10 -
That's where we are although we are heading north. Got loaded around midnight went 40 miles to scale load and 2000 pounds over on the trailer. God Donut, this is the second time overweight out of this place. Actually the 4th time but the other times were in the 200 pound range and weigh station bears let me slide. It threw a monkey wrench into my plans as I need to get this load hustled up there by a drop dead time Friday or end up sitting all weekend
Came through those northbound scales in Redding with about half an hour left on my clocks was hoping to not be pulled in for an inspection. Luckily another driver with junk equipment got red lighted to pull around, couldn't tell if he had a 48 foot trailer or 53 but his tandems were back pretty far and the sides of his trailer were bulging out dramatically.
Got my big fat spaghetti dinner on and ready to drive all night baby. -
Monticello, AR at the Walmart. Humid, but only 75ºF, so we aren't idling to keep the local constabulary away. Tomorrow we pick up a short haul to t-call in Memphis, and hopefully will get something resembling a long haul out for the weekend.
It's odd, but my trainee has over 70 hours BTW, we took a 34 in Memphis and went to team, but we still haven't received our 50 hour calls from driver development. Methinks they are understaffed. -
Oh happy joy. My new DM commits her drivers to loads, including owners, and doesn't allow loads to be turned down without talking to her first. And of. ourse the first thing I get thrown this morning is a load with 10% empty miles.

Palestine, AR at the Love's. Just unsuccessfully scaled a load. With 3/8 of a tank we are still over on the drives and just got advise we need to go back 140 miles to the customer in Montecillo, AR. Waiting to hear how soon the customer will be available to rework the load.
This was a good exercise in how to scale a load and make adjustments for my trainee, and how to handle an overweight situation.scottied67 Thanks this.
