Finally got to Mount Vernon, TX to drop at Lowes and they won't release an empty to me. The nearest one the planner can find is in Broken Bow, OK which will triple the empty miles for my next trip to 135. I think I'll send a mac9 refusing the load and call it a day.

 

You're in the middle of nowhere ... trailers aren't going to get any closer ... go get that trailer ...

Doing a 10 at Loves I-74E x123 in Indiana on my way for morning drop in Cincinnati.

Was planned with an ultra heavy Coscto out of Morris for some hick town in central MN but they couldn't find me an mty trailer between Milwaukee and Kenosha. I don't think they looked very hard either. Over night removed and probably put on someone else. Ok with me as I didn't want it anyway since freight is light in Twin Cities to get out according to my DM.

Got another load to Cincinnati. 5 pallets, 6,000lbs. Live load took 12 minutes. Ran into horrendous traffic on I-294 and I-80E getting out of Chicago, then an accident at MM169 on I-65S, then really bad slowdowns in Indianapolis due to construction on I-465S. Running on recaps and the delays killed my drive time. Have 9 mins left on my 70. Did a mac22 on delivery in the morning.

 

Going from 45 empty miles that I committed to up to 137 to get 294 paid miles is ridiculous.

 

Overnight keyboard pounders fail again, a call to the DL first thing this morning results in approval to bobtail to shipper in under 5 minutes.

 

Dropped my load at Home Depot north of Cinncinatti and grabbed a new trailer. Have another to pick up from the same place in a few hours, live load, going to another Home Depot on west side of Birminham AL. Back to running at night again.

 

fontana ca. did 3 tripps yesterday from dc to railyard. did one trip this morning. then sent me to otay mesa terminal to get an mt and drop it here at centrals old yard. i'll head down today for another one and see if i have enough time left to get back to jurupa valley term. if not, stay at the pilot down there. do same thing tomorrow and off on sunday. i'll make sure to get up heretomorrow nite

 

Knoxville, TN. Pulled in with 1 hour left on my 70, pu 8.5 in the morning, have 377 miles to del by noon in Groveport, then grab another one for Manteno and have until midnight to get it there on Sunday. Figure when pu in Groveport, will have about 2.5 hours left, enough to get me to exit 123 in IN. Then drop on sunday and bt to gary and get one going to Columbus for Monday. I might have enough hours on Sunday to at least get a start on the way home.
