Just another number, actually. The difference is 10% turnover vs. 100+. Do your 70, then go home to reset.

This is kinda an entertaining thread to read....I am not an expert but since he is at Gary, its a secure yard....maybe he should enjoy the break...until Monday...show that he is waiting patiently for the next business day to start...which is Monday....Then call his assigned FM, if no answer, walk into the terminal and ask the office folks if he has been forgotten about....He may not have a day off for a while.....People seem to stand up and defend Roehl on this forum, this is a good thing. Tell your old man to chill out and order a pizza....life is good...

After reading all of these posts I sure am glad that I am not a company driver. No wonder so many companies have ridiculously high turn over rates.

    blairandgretchen and 281ric Thank this.

Try waiting three days on a load. Your husband will be glad hes waiting after running 70hrs a week. Communication is key and have hubby ask dispatch for a load over the weekend when he does get dispatched.

Since your husband just tested out on Friday chances are his New(permanent) FM has not been able to get a load from the planner by the time he left at 5pm. Weekend can not get him a load if nothing was assigned to him friday. Once Monday 7 am rolls in, I am quite sure he will have a load home. I know this as I tested out on a Friday and received my truck on Saturday but there was no load getting me home so luckily I only lived 2 hrs away so they let me Bobtail home. He still has a Trainee FM that will touch base with him for the next 2 months or so but is no longer directly under them. Tell him to give his FM a call at 730 if he doesn't hear anything or go into the office and ask to talk to a FM about getting a load.

So.....what napped to your husband? Did he get his first load assignment out of Gary?
Did he eat all the the pizza that he may have ordered?
Is he on his way to Super Trucker Stardom?

Inquiring minds (and potential future Roehl drivers) need to know.........

Honestly, how is your husband doing...?

    Thanks,
