i guess this was answer to my question. If so thanks.

Does the new 730's come with a newer version of maps or is it the outdated version that's in the 720 now?

What version is it and if they have a new version why is it not available I wonder for the 720? Maybe their way of saying "you are supposed to buy newer one"

Nope,, I know some of the reasons, but cannot make them public as RM is making business decisions on them.

    Thanks,
    Mark

They want u to buy a new one. It's improved over the new one with cooler features.

So really what you are saying is the only way to get the newer version of maps is to purchase the 730. That way the life time maps is really only good for the one update and is why it's been over a year and won't be another update for the older models. They feel if people was to get map updates they wouldn't need to buy a newer model. Their business decisions is no profit in giving the updates for free just a good sales pitch to get you to buy.

No what I am saying is that some business decisions are being made about the way they will be released. I cannot go into detail or give hints on this one due to the nature of the map set.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    I just got a 720 a few weeks ago.. .. The next week I saw the 730s

I noticed near my house it routed me to a low bridge. I knew it was there so went the safe way. its not on a main street but just off.
Neal rd right near where it intersects Hillsborough rd in Durham NC. The RR trestle is 11 feet. We have a bunch of low bridges in Durham. There are two bridges just after where Neal rd goes under the Durham freeway. Those are plenty high.... but that railroad trastle is a truck eater....and the RM routed me right under it.....

I see the latest maps/restrictions routing around that trestle. 36.023839, -78.956988
    .

I did send it to RM to be verified though.

    Thanks,
    mark
