Had to do a tough tarp job yesterday. Had to use 3 large tarps. Enough work, that it's making me look at conestago kit.
    Anybody here running a conestago?
I'm wondering how much it'd help or hurt freight abilities.

First of all, Kona, I'm glad to hear that you weren't hurt. And that that beautiful rig can be fixed. Rigs are replaceable, even the brand new ones, drivers are not. Nice to hear you're being taken care of as well.

As an OWNER OPERATOR, why would you think there's restrictions on a road?

isn't it nice to be somewhere they ask if you are ok first, before anything else is discussed?? that does mean a lot. it just is the culture that mercer has cultivated since its beginning is all I can figure.

kona, you are one of the nice guys out here, I hope you get back going sooner than you expect.

lol, its funny you posted this. after my tarp job in nj , where even with the help of two guys and the overhead crane, I was completely worn out.

I am thinking fastrack down in franklin,oh.

the oversize loads don't pay that well anymore, which would be all I would miss with my flat. and I now sometimes pass by loads simply because they do tarp. so in a way it might enhance my performance.

I guess if I had a full height one I could still load a/c's , Kubota, etc.

Anyone see the new rates for plates their sending out? It shows the rates for light duty trucks. Are we now signing on hotshots?

Fastrack has a "Run Open Option" so you can still haul oversized loads if you want with one installed.
