No common sense in this place....

Saw a Volvo the other day with Illinois plates with the company name "Balkan Express". Nuff said

 

So what if it says "Balkan Express" ?

 

I don't know, I think the name and location pretty much says it all. Throw in the volvo and it spells dishonest, thieving EuroTrash company. Keep away.

Not all the foreign trucking companies are bad news.
I am a dispatcher and sometimes I need to use other carriers to move my loads. I have some pretty bad stories about some foreign truckers I had to deal with but I also have good stories about two companies. One is Polish and the other one is Ukrainian. They are not telling me what they think I want to hear and I appreciate that.

One of the bad story with some European dude is that the dispatcher lied me when he told me where's his truck , the driver finally made it to the shipper but he wouldn't have enough time to deliver.
I've told the dispatcher to call me when his driver is loaded to make sure that I can get him empty , he never called of course. I've found out from the shipper the loading time and realized he's not going to make the delivery. Tried to call the dispatcher , no answer so I've called the driver. He finally picked up the phone and pretty much yelled at me when I've told him who am I and tell me stop bothering him.
Almost lost my temper that day but I've told him that if he wants to get empty tonight he better start talking with me .

Now I am only working with those two companies and I am happy with them .
They tell me when and where they have a truck available and if I can load them. In 7 months since we're working together, never had a problem.

 

There are just as many CROOKED RED BLOODED AMERICANS in trucking as there are EUROPEANS so no need to paint everyone in the CHICAGO AREA as EURO TRASH with the same brush

 

So any bets on how long it will take this thread to get locked, now that the hate slurs are flying?

You're right, Not all the euro companies are bad. I apologize for my comment. However there sure does seem to be a large % of them in the chicagoland area that are. If you've been around awhile and are honest, you will have to admit this no matter what your nationality is. Technically, I'm european too I guess. If they all happened to be of the same nationality I am it wouldn't change a thing.

I had one of their idiot drivers tear the RHS mirror off the side of my truck a couple of months ago, while he was PULLING OUT of the spot next to me. the night before, I had to direct him into that spot so the moron didn't back into me. Was actually an American driver, much older, but only gave me part of his license and truck info on a barely legible peice of scrap paper and fled claiming he was late for delivery. I've seen a few of their other trucks on the road before, they looked like junk and half the time the drivers had their phone held to an ear. A very moronic company.
