Oh, and the tarps, honestly I don't know! LOL!!

It's been a while, I just pulled that number outta my wazoo :p so take it for what it's worth. Either way, tarps are gonna get torn/shredded/destroyed. :)

Mostly correct but load insurance is paid with 1% of the 75% we get. So we actually only make approx. 74.2 percent of the gross the customer pays.
I think I explained that somewhat right.

And latley parking is getting quite tight at the yard. Not saying you won't get in, but any decent spot is taken by dark. Wish we could get them to put hookups in the othe lot.

Yes tarps are gona get tore but isn't a conastoga a tarp also and I bet I can get $5K worth of tarps to last as long as any conastoga.
Not saying I wouldn't have a conastoga, but real hard to justify at $15K

A conastoga is kinda like a big sleeper. It's real hard to take a pencil and piece of paper and justify the cost. But most any one that has one says it is worth it.

Life's a Marathon not a sprint". Taker care of your body and in the long run you'll make more money... A Conastoga will more than pay for it's self.. If you can afford one up front

Ah well, I suppose I put a high cost on "comfort & convenience" :biggrin_25522:

Maybe it's cuz I'm female but DH says at his age, it sure would be nice not to have to climb on top of some of them loads to tarp them!

Speaking of ... he's at Dan's on US 49 & US 98 for the night. He'll be in Dallas/Ft Worth tomorrow and deliver in the morning on Thursday. We're debating on putting the truck in the shop there to get that cracked EGR taken care of. I know that's gotta be hell on the engine!

Anyone have any feedback on freightliner in that area?

ETA: Okay, never mind. DH will NOT be staying in the Dallas/Ft Worth area for any extra length of time! Better to be safe than sorry!
