Im looking to leave the trucking industry as well. Might even go back to school. I only want to work 8 hours a day

 

Yea most days at this job I'm looking at are just 8 hours a day with some overtime sometimes, not like mandatory like in trucking. still need a class A license and I'll still drive, but it's all like highway maintenance

 

So that's why you want FXF. because of the faster trucks and newer ones.... DONT LIE

 

When I leave it's going to be back to otr for me. I miss running the open road. Gonna buy my own truck again, been doing a lot of research and talking to a lot of guys and got it narrowed down to where I think Ill go. I should have enough for a good down payment by February. Already buying things here and there that I'll need to get back at it. I'm gonna get a personal 401k and dump every cent I can into it. Then in a few more years I'm getting the heck out of California!!!

 

Ya think so ya little Brat!! Don't count me out yet! So ya bailing after what 6 months?? Pansy! I'm pretty stoked for a food-grade tanker outfit in PA! LCL Bulk, newer 13sp auto Macks, a frig, inverter, and Apu's! Drop the dirty tank in NJ, bob-tail home! More to follow! Non-hacker! Ha ha

 

Hey cool35, I'm thinking the same thing! Only I'll run tankers for awhile. Thought about chemical/Hazmat but think off with food grade first and see how it goes! Later, crazey out!

LCL bulk kid, they have a Terminal in Elizabethtown PA. HQ is in Greenbay WI. Old family run company. Talk to the Driver manager on the phone yesterday while sitting to get loaded in Hauppauge! Cleared with safety and there Insurance! I had an email from some driver recruiting co that steered me to the company itself! They pay my the hour on short hauls, and milage on longer ones. The do a lot of chocolate loads out of Hershey I discovered.
