Been on the road for a few weeks & things have been going good. I know winter is on its way, any advice from experienced drivers about winter driving?

If you feel that conditions are unsafe, park it. Don't let any one pressure you into driving if YOU, personally, feel unsafe. Don't try to drive beyond your skill level. Just because other trucks are still running doesn't mean that you have to if YOU, personally, feel unsafe. Remember, if you are involved in an accident, it is on you and no one else. Don't let dispatch push you or guilt-trip you into driving if YOU, personally, feel unsafe.
Remember, it is much better for the load to be a day late than scattered along the highway. The world WILL NOT come to an end if Walmart doesn't get their toilet paper by 3:30 am.BuckeyeKev, tjh, TigerBait and 2 others Thank this. -
Be sure to pack your snowshoes, downhill ski equipment, and all of the gear needed for a day of fun in-the-snow when you get stuck up on Vail Pass... or one of the other hills that can get a bit challenging with a foot of snow (or more). Be safe!

Whenever you hearing "Freezing Rain" in a weather report for an area you are traveling in just stop...or you will most likely end up parking with Swift and FedEx in a grassy median.
