Its not a Revenue goal, I did quite well my 1st month here, hauling my first load Sept 5th. after Expenses i ended September with 12k on my EFS card, and 3,700 in Reserve which to be honest blew my mind i never brought home close to that much at CRST... but back to the point no I run based on what the load is paying but i keep a mileage goal more or less as a motivation tool for myself, I kept my military mentality which i feel has really helped me in trucking "Hurry up and Wait" among others. Lol it does actually really suck when i end up with having to layover because while i'm going i'm thinking yeah i get there tonight grab a good load in the morning and then its just a slow freight day.. lol but your right also working here at least in the month and half I've been making adjustments

The biggest and best was I'm so used to having to do all the leg work myself like as i'm loading i was on the phone with Agents telling them when i would be in their area ready to roll and b4 i was 1/2 way across the country i normally had a load out.. but that right there is one of the reasons i came here it got to the point where yes it was very unsafe how i had to operate at crst always on the phone with agents searching the loadboard all while driving because the coordinators there didn't do much and when they called it was to offer some junk load. I honestly feel like i found my home at Mercer and i'm always proud to say i work for this company.

lol got a wife at the house but she's awesome and knows the plan we have our starter home we own its a cheap repo trailer we picked up and put on our property and while were in here we are bring as cheap as possible saving up to have a home built hopefully before 2020 lol its not always a great ideal to go cheap especially on a trailer but the minor repairs havent killed us, and its a great way to save only bills we have are trailer payment, cell, electric and cable.

LMAO i keep bugging her about getting a couple goats or a cow or something for tax deductions my buddy has 5 or 6 horses and a couple cows and barely pays any tax on the other hand i paid the IRS 9k for the last 2 years, i just run out of ideals on what to claim for a tax deduction and he said having animals is the way to go lol i'm not so sure I've never had any kind of livestock b4

horses aren't a good writeoff unless you are buying and selling, horses aint cheap. my wife and I started out in a trailer, she is good with money. when I met her I could put everything I owned in 4 paper bags , now a bunch of years later life is much easier, looks like you are well on the way.

I can say since I came to mercer 4 years ago, things are even better

Have you noticed a difference in fuel economy with this system?

I bought a new truck along with the trailer so I have nothing to compare it to. My ISX does get better fuel economy than my old ISM did though. Although that has nothing to do with the trailer

Can somebody tell a newbie where we get info on the ups run? I amassuming they would have a need in Memphis. Is this a bidding process or first come first serve? Any information would help. I

Ask your coordinator, they are your main point of contact for just about everything.
