Doing a 10 at a Loves in Shelby IA along I-80.

This is is as far as I could go with my recaps today. Get back 10.5hrs tonight so I'll have enough for the 6hr drive to Bolingbrook IL with a little left over to p/u another afterwords. Don't have a delivery appt yet so I'm going to get with receiver on the way in and try to set up an unload before lunch.

I'm not a big fan of Coscto in Morris because of previous issues but I'm kinda hoping I get one of theirs tomorrow. Usually around 500 miles regional, hopefully Minnesota, and I can deliver on or before Wednesday. Would make for another good week.

 

Proof that heart attacks can happen at any age, young to old. To make matters worse, our sedentary lifestyle and the miserable food the truck stops feed us do not help.

 

Yes that is absolutely true! That's pure d crap available in truck stops....only fruit available is sometimes apples bananas and oranges.....

 

Funny thing is,I haven't really gained or lost a pound since I started driving truck....I love food but not a big eater.....but the weight is around my middle,hehe skinny legs big belly....not sure if that's a factor or not...I need exercise mostly and eat better....stop smoking...I really hate smoking but God I don't know how to change it.....grrrrr,thx for your message

 

Smoking isn't good for you and you know it; genetics might also be working against you. But the nice thing is you now have a new starting point. Make use of it! Best wishes.

 

Sitting behind a Target a couple of miles outside of Atlantic City, waiting for the service truck. When I dropped off this trailer on Thursday, I reported it out of service for a major air leak. I reported it again on Friday when I picked up the other trailer here. The Boss reported it *again* to OnRoad yesterday. Got here today... still untouched.

Found that Mac55 doesn't like Target trailers.

28 minutes on hold with OnRoad later (quick tonight!), the local mech will be here... in about an hour. Need to roll within the next 3 hours to get back to the DC tonight.

At least I have full scale WiFi in the truck...

 

Smoking is a big factor ... I smoked 3 packs a day until I was 28 ... then off and on until about 37 ... I would only smoke at work and when I was bowling ... would knock out an entire pack while bowling.

My reward was an angioplasty just before my 40th birthday ... after 6 months of ongoing angina. Doctors treated me for everything but a heart issue.

 

I need to quit the smoking as well, when im at home I only smoke a couple a day but in the truck I can go through a pack easy a day. I need to get back on my diet as well, I did well in July losing 22 lbs but then teetered off it the last couple months but the brightside is that I am staying right about the same weight but overall im down over 50lbs since I started trucking.
This week I have done slightly better but still not great, been getting a foot long sub at the start of my shift and eating half then the other half for dinner with a protein shake in between.

Today went to Fresno then to Atwater which I havent been to in a long time, another decent day of 550 miles, tomorrow Paso Robles with a Merced to end my week fairly decent.
