Make that 3 of us!!!!! BTW, what is your new adventure?
-
Waving HI!! So what is your new adventure?? We haven't crossed the border yet, except in a 4 wheeler. Someday we just might take the plunge though... Midsummer though, not brave enough for fall, winter or spring up there
-
Are you working on that new power line they putting in along the Cassiar. I just came down the Cassiar on Monday.
-
Well, the new adventure is pretty much the same thing I did before. The only difference is I am working with a good friend of mine who just bought his third truck and trailer. The emphasies is on working with him not for him. He still drives one of his trucks and knows what it takes to get the job done. The least stress full trip in a while for sure.
I just got home and did a 10 day round trip. I got to visit 10 grocery stores last Friday on my delivery day. The HOS service in Alaska are brutal. You get to drive 15hrs and be on duty for 20hrs. I managed to deliver to 10 grocery stores and drove almost 700mls in one legal work day.
I did a first for me in hauling a car in a reefer trailer. I was kind of worried since there are no tie down straps or anything like you would use on a car hauler. I off loaded it today and it was in the same place where I left it. The trailer gets sealed for customs and there is no way to go check on it during transit.
For some reason the pictures I take with my Iphone I can't post on here. Not sure what is going on there. -
so you have an alaskan HOS
Canadien HOS
and lower 48 HOS
all on the same trip to have to match?
-
Yes, but you forgot that Canada has HOS rules for South and North of the 60s latitude. I start out in Washington with the lower 48 HOS. Than move on to the South of the 60s for British Columbia and when entering the Yukon I switch to North of the 60 latitude. Last when I cross into Alaska I will use those HOS rules.Panhandle flash Thanks this.

Wow. Talk about a confusing set of clocks.
joseph1135, Big_D409 and The Challenger Thank this. -
Do you remember over at Gordon on the HOS page of the QC, we had all of those except for Alaska. If I remember, they had a few loads that went to the Yukon.DenaliDad Thanks this.

Yup! Just about finished. I was only in the camp for about a week. I moved a bunch of stuff in when the project started a year ago and now I'm moving a bunch of stuff out. Just in Prince George heading up there for a btrain load of mats you might have seen sitting at the barrage brake check.,
