    Hey guys
I'm looking for suggestions on how to mount a 7" Samsung tablet. Our KW's have them mounted right to the front of the dash where there are some blank/fake gauges. On this Freightliner I can't figure out the best way without blocking a vent, gauge, or the windshield. I'm thinking maybe to the right of the lower blower, attaching a mount around the corner to the dash?

I don't have a tone of experience with tablets, and I don't know what kind of mount you have, but if you get one with a suction cup and a round piece that it sticks to, you can find any blank place on your dash and stick the round piece there. 3M Command strips are the best- they hold several pounds, and the pull tab takes them off clean. You can get them at Walmart, HomeDepot, etc in the picture hanging section.

    Good Luck

Brilliant, freakin brilliant. I love those 3m strips. I can use those until we figure out aavoid placement.

You might want to place it in front of one vent. That thing will get hot if you keep the screen on (for log book or navigation). The sun will also bake it, so keeping it cool will extend its life.

This is what I cobbled up with some scrap steel I had laying around in the shop for my Motorolla Xoom tablet. I wanted some way to film a tractor ride, suond stinks and it only caught the hig end noise.
The tablet slides in from the side and the big rubber band keeps it from falling out.

Another possibility is if you know of some one with a 3D printer, you could ask them to print you some design that is available from thingiverse. ( www.thingiverse.com ) There are many tablet stands there that could easily be used.

Dont look at me yet. My printer may not happen until March 2015.
