Never know til you try? Just be up front with them about it because if they have to find it out on their own, it will probably kill your chances?

Okay, let me correct what I said. You do have a problem. If you were stopped and got a ticket for driving while suspended then your license would have been suspended for that also. Now what you are looking at is an SR-22 form in most states. That is proof of financial responsibility. You will have to be insured and pay a higher rate on your own vehicle. That may effect your ability to be hired by a company. I am not sure.

Your license will only be good as long as you comply with your states rules. Is H-town Houston? If so they have the same rules in Texas as we do in Missouri. You have to have your own insurance plus the insurance for the company to be legal in this instance.

Like I said, its cleared up now... I didn't even get a ticket for driving while suspended, he gave me a no license ticket and let me go to work...

Only the company knows for certain. All you can do is apply and find out.

In my experience it wouldn't be an issue. I had my license suspended for failure to pay a fine. Totally my fault. I let it slip from my memory. I paid the fine, got my license reinstated and had no trouble getting hired.

Non moving is not as serious as moving suspensions but each case is weighted individually. You mention tickets like you paint a picture of no regard for traffic laws. It's time to put that behind you. Some companies say no suspensions in 3 years. Some say no suspensions from moving violations in the past three years. Failure to pay a speeding ticket is a non-moving but the original charge was moving.

If you do get a job trucking it's time to become responsible and respect your CDL. With as many miles you will be driving it's the only way to keep it. Ten times the miles driving equals ten times the chance of getting a ticket. If you do get a ticket you fight it to protect your CDL. After so much money wasted you'll learn to respect your license. You can learn good habit or bad habits. The good ones keep you safe and the money coming in.

Look, it all depends on the company. When you call around be totally honest and open with them. I called Knight and I am here now. I came off of a suspension in 2012, had 3 tickets (only 1 showed on my report) but I was totally honest with them. They ran all of the rest of the things and took my HONESTY in to account since a lot of people like to lie about things. I am now finishing my first week of their Squire program and also testing out tomorrow to start my road training next week.

I had 3 suspensions in 2 years. All for not paying no insurance fines. I've never been denied a job for it, however my current company wanted me to assure them that it wouldn't happen again.
