McElroy is one of the biggest haulers for Lowe's, & most of the stores will allow MTL drivers to park there over the weekend. Just have to speak to a manager. One driver told me when he went in to speak to the manager, before saying for what company he drove, the manager says, "You can park any truck out there you like as long as it's a McElroy truck!" LOL

Check Global Truck parts on Moreland Ave, I think they rent spots or check with Kenny at Southern Truck Parts. I wouldn't leave a truck at a truck stop unattended, good way to get fuel stolen.

Sell the house and forget about HOAs.
RichardCranium86 and Naptown Thank this. -
This is good to know.
I will keep this on my list
This was in the cards before I got laid off though the forced delay is a good as new houses are now selling in our neighborhood so value going up. But getting out of here is definitely a work in progress just need to get to work first. -
I am home nightly and park the tractor at a Public Storage. It was originally $85 a month, and now is about $110. But it is only a half mile from home, I can walk there in 5 minutes~

What do u do with ur trailer?
-
just have to look around. I live about 30 minutes west of Savannah, GA and this was one thing that I wanted to look in to before getting hired as well. I am now got hired by Knight Transportation and they allow us to take the trucks home. I have 2 spots in the town that I live in that actually are truck parking and it is only like 50month to use them. Another thing you can do is talk to some of the truck stop employees that are at your local truck stop. ask them where some people can park for a couple days when the truck stop is full, they might point you in the right direction. for me though, I can bring the tractor home and have a secure lot for the trailer or for both truck and trailer when I will be under load.

I rent an indoor space from a repair shop with a wash bay, sits indoors when I'm home. If that's during the week they move it out during the day and back in at night. $175/mo.

It is usually on a train rolling down the tracks!
MikeeeeCharli Girl Thanks this. -
That s 12 miles up the road and why would you want to pay to park there. There are a few truck stops and places to park within 5 miles of Atlanta Hartsfield on I 85 South, Camp Creek Pkwy, South Fulton Pkwy, etc.
