I run 1800 miles a week. Around 25 drops a week at 25 bucks a piece. Home Friday night. Leave Monday morning. Oh....at a slow truck mega carrier. Work smarter, not harder.

So back to the original topic on hand, 3 months ago... lol. Does anyone else here think that they might have turned him around because they could not understand a thing he wrote on his application? Just throwing that out there!

they loose all that time and more trying to find a park and get backed into it so there you go they are in the negative now. 33 miles takes them a half hr to run (just for sake of being even) so that one hr parking job just put them 33 miles in the hole. LMAO

So from these two posts you are basically saying you would certainly rather work harder than smarter.

I'd rather do what rkbottom is doing as he is making a boatload more money with way less work.

In this scenario $. 42 cpm is chump change compared to his 78% of the load. Where do I sign up for 78%? Lol

Is he making that 78 percent of the load as a company driver with no expenses? That means no truck payment, no insurance payment, fuel card paid...that means no fuel surcharge that mean fuel payed....no cargo liability paid permits base plates taxes etc etc paid tolls free trailer usage free tractor Maintance and repairs...If so where do I sign up?...and again.....I don't tarp because I pull reefer...that means I don't have to climb on to my truck to strap and tarp my load.....I just close doors and seal trailer and away I go....

Edmund its 78% i am a owner operator so yes there are expenses as in any businesses i also get a very good fuel surcharge and any smart owner operator can turn that into profit. Either way give me 78% anyday and do what i want when i want to over .42 a mile and being told when i can go home what rout i have to take where i have to fuel where and when i can pee i can go on and on.... ive owned a truck for 18 years im doing ok

Day 1 of TMC orientation is a freak show. You should see the people that show up.

If you weren't actually employed by a company you have no credibility to start a BEWARE thread. These threads about people being sent home from orientation are meaningless.

Ok why the hell are we comparing tmc to Swift everybody out here on the road knows swifts reputation they can't drive and I would not be caught deaf in their truck. I stay loyal to the black and chrome they have been good to me and I couldn't ask for a better home this is where I will spend the rest of my career. Swift can shove it.
