I made it to the meeting the other day:

    Here is what i gathered:

    From the boss himself.

1)Breakdown Pay? : "Working on it/its being looked into"

2)Vacation Pay adjustment? : "Working on it/its being looked into"

3)Elogs? ...still holding off till the last minuet. (yet , ironically everything Alan mentioned that's dinging their Safety score due to errors on paper logs
could be rectified if we were on e-logs) , so i wonder to myself do these people actually communicate with one and other

4)You can decline to pickup a driver if you don't feel comfortable carrying them around, without fear of repercussions from management
( i was informed of the complete opposite of this a few days before the meeting)...its that foggy communication thing again.

5)"No alcohol" was re emphasized due to recent 'incidents' with a few of the drivers.

6)Pay Raise ?...i don't recall that coming up, but i may have missed it.

7)Currently Experimenting with Snow socks and may go to them in the future as the price on them begins to drop.

8/Retirement Plan is now open to anyone after only 6 months ...its 100% vested after 3 years (most companies its a year before one can even join and vested after 7)

9)Major effort in service to see to it you get YOUR truck fixed and back asap and dont have to move your world into a rat trap stinky loaner.

10)Comments were made regarding the security/prison camp feel of PGP .... the boss stated , "That's just the way it is"

    11)The chocolate donuts were great

Someone also mentioned about having vacuums at the fuel islands. They seemed to like that idea and wrote it down. There was a lot of discussion in lack of communication. I liked the idea of when backhaul calls with load information, if you don't answer, they should leave a message with the information and the driver call them back to let them know you received it.

I personally like that one. I've missed 3 different pick ups due to getting information too late. Twice coming off home time.
