I want to start a trucking company. I want to know what would be the truck used to begin with a flat bed. my idea is to have the truck working at the port of houston loading pipes and equipment for the oil industry. short distances almost all loads are in the area of houston

What would be the most suitable model truck? how many miles should look and how hard miles an engine?
Which model is easy to get replacement part mechanical and less expensive? Cheap maintenance?

Should seek cab or without cab? I think the sleeper can be a plus in the search for driver? but this can influence the cost of the truck and fuel consumption?

    Hope you can help me

Yes I have experienced working with truck in Venezuela, but the market is totally different. We don't have trucks with sleeper and or common model is Mack RD-400, Granite and Vision. Here mechanics like detroit diesel in venezuela is very weird to see it. The majority of the trucks are old you still see a lot R-600 on the road. I have a 09 Kw T-400 is great truck there but nobody know how to fix just in the dealer and the replacement parts are very expensive. the situation in Venezuela is very hard right now and there aren't loads because the production is very low. We used to buy old engines from here and fix our trucks. Here I don't have knowlegde too much about the market I just I am starting to do my research in order to see if I can invest
