I talked to a recruiter at the company i want to work for and she said it puts me in a grey area. She sent me a pre emplyment application to fill out and kick up to her supervisor.. I'm going to go down to the hearing officer and see what its going to take to get it removed from my record.. I might need a lawyer, but I know a good one its just going to cost me a week or so of hard labor at the weekend home he's building... and yes i was going just go down and get my permit, the school im going to goto takes $200 off the price if i already have it and then i would be able to spend more time working on the PTI... theres a lot to the pti and no amount of reading the book is going to make up for being able to actually go over a truck instead of paper.

    Safety is NO accident.

    I think that's somebody's signature on here.

    Good luck.

Jeffrey might've been a good driver though. This guy is questionable.

Look no one said this but just apply and see what happens, don't fall for the "I've got to talk to my supervisor" crap, they are most of the time full of it.

this is what is called a "failure to stop in a clear assured distance" ticket in this state and not a big deal anywhere. Really it isn't. I would not worry about it because there are people out there with reckless driving tickets and 20 over tickets who are driving trucks (and they shouldn't be).

Don't waste money on a lawyer; take the advice on here already given to you and apply somewhere and see what the results are. You're showing too much anxiety over a trivial matter that's easily solved. You won't make it as a driver unless you calm down and quit overthinking every thing.

You never volunteer information to anyone or any report. No matter how you feel about your incident the people that are in power may not see it your way. Never ever lie on any applications but just answer what is being asked. They might ask you have you ever been convicted of a felony? If you went to court and was found not guilty you say NO and go on. Do not explain it was a bogus arrest or any other item you feel was wrong. You just have to answer what they ask and no more or no less.

Lots of snarky comments on here. Crap happens, now you just deal with it. Get your permit, that will tell you that things are ok with the state. Then talk to some companies and see what they say. I'm very inclined to go with what others have said about this particular situation being no big deal for you getting hired.

And as long as you have learned something from it, perhaps it actually was a GOOD thing.

and patty theres no reason to be down right rude like that i have been driving 13 years and this is the first time i have ever hit anyone and there was NO DAMAGE the hitch became the cleanest part of the car.

Don't concern yourself with pattyj. No one here listens to what she has to say. I would put her in the same category as Victor_v.
