Such a thing as just being nice?

I've never heard of an exemption for being on private property, but that'd be nice if there was one. It is nice to know you can get them online, now. Only problem is I've been to about 28 states, and that could mean a lot of money if I wanted to fish in each one.

Yeah, I know some states have the exemption. Virginia and Florida both have exemptions, not sure about others. It could get pricey, you figure upwards of $10 a pop, but during resets it could pass the time nicely.

To bad you couldn't have got there for supper. I thought about there prime rib all day, was thinking about running up there for supper tonight but the coutch started calling my name this afternoon...A friend of mine from Marinette says fishing was invented in L'Anse I got to got to get their someday,but it is to close to my favorite place in the word. Escanaba I luv it up there.....eh

I got fuel in Gary ONCE vowed never to stop anywhere near there or Chicago again.
About the fishing on your break, It would be easy to find a guide online in most popular fishing areas.Or Spend some time on the fishing boards and maybe find someone in the area to split fuel with. Heck if your walking around up in L'Anse just stop in a pub and ask around and you will probably find a ride

Ya, I definitely don't recommend stopping at the truck stops in the Gary area. Staying here at the terminal is no big deal. Fenced and under surveilance.

Anyway, no ride required to fish in L'Anse. The lake and river are both within walking distance of the customer.

Ride meaning boat, get out on the big water and chase the big un's. The is nothing like fishing in 6 to 8 footers to get the heart going!!!!!!!

Haha... I wouldn't know. But I do know I have to be in condition to safely drive the truck afterward, and I believe drowning would disqualify me.

Thats what life jackets are for, no guts no glory!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, in the proper boat with a competent driver safety is number one. I have been out in 10 footers twice while fishing tourneys, that gets spooky. 20 feet from the top of the waves to the bottom of the trough. fun but spooky.

I got stuck here at a wayside in Hayward, WI and figured I'd get out and take a leak. There was an old man getting into his truck, and we started ####-chatting, took a walk down this trail that leads to the river. Mostly just talking about weather and stuff. On the way down, I wonder what the hell I'm doing, thinking that he could be some serial killer or something. We get down to the river and he asks me if I'm horny, and while I'm quickly and clearly saying "No," he asks me if I want to fool around. What the hell is wrong with people these days? Before I started driving truck, I had no problem with chatting with an old man at a diner, hardware store, farm, etc. On the way back up here, he asks me all kinds of questions about trucking, about if I'm in contact with the office at all times, what'd happen if I didn't answer my phone if the office called right now, etc. I mentioned that my truck had a GPS unit in, and if dispatched called and I didn't answer they'd wonder what was going on. It was really nice to see there were other people here when I got back up here. I went and used the toilet and he was talking to this group of guys just passing through. I pulled one aside and mentioned what happened and he laughed and said "Dirty old trucker." I pointed out that it was in fact ME that was driving the truck, but we still got a good laugh out of it, and he said the old man didn't try anything like that with them.

Enough trying to just ####-chat with other people, what's wrong with these sick ########? I come from a farm, and in all likelihood I would've punched someone that said that back home--as I would have been expecting a swing if I asked such a sick question.

Now that I think about it, I guess he wasn't just old and unaware that he was scratching his balls--I think this sick old ####### was playing with himself.

...at least I learned something new today.
