Anyone have any recommendations on any trucking companies in PA that offer a sponsored CDL licensing? The only one Ive found is PAM, and from what Ive read...a lot of people were very displeased and recommended not going that route?

    Chinatown Thanks this.

PAM works for some people; just depends on each persons situation.
Did you talk to Schneider about CDL school funding?
    Here's some more though:
    Celadon
    Southern Refrigerated Transport
    Prime Inc.
    Swift
    Roehl
    Millis Transfer
Midwest-coast Transport - (MCT is the school)
    Mesilla Valley Transportation

Schneider apparently only reimburses schooling, but doesn't offer their own CDL training. I've contacted either swift or prime, can't remember which, but I'd have to relocate to take advantage of their in-house cdl schooling. Im trying to avoid relocation...

If your willing to go one state west to Ohio, Millis Transfer has a school just North of Cincinnati.
3 weeks then out with trainer. Know some people who went through there and are pretty happy.

Schneider has been funding private CDL school.
JBS Carriers also funds private CDL school.

Shouldn't have to relocate for those I listed since they hire in your area. You would attend their school in another state, at their expense, then return home after schooling.

All I've seen through the schneider site is the tuition reimbursement program for an outside school, do you have a link or contact info for their in-house cdl program? I was told by swift I think, that if I relocated for their school...that's the state I had to live in and dispatch from? So...I'm a little confused. Schneider is actually the company I want to haul for, since I have a tanker position nearly guaranteed after school. I'm just having difficulty coming up with tuition money.

I have called multiple times and talked to a few different recruiters when I called them as well because I was looking for a company sponsored program myself. I was told that they no longer offered that. They were only going to a program to where they "may" have a school or two (if room was available) that would accept SNI's student reimbursement as payment, but didn't really feel too "warm and fuzzy" about that, so I went to Knight's program.

If your in a difficult financial situation try contacting the Career Link office in your county. They may actually pay for your school. I'm going to try this myself.
