When looking thru my last pay stub for the year, I was paid $3360 in stop pay...which calculates out to 112 stops. Divided by 52 weeks, that means I averaged 2.15 extra stops a week. But, since I took 62 days off for this addition project (which is just under 9 weeks), that means I really averaged 2.6 extra paid stops per the weeks I worked. So hub miles isn't the only bonus to the paycheck here...maybe if I can keep the truck on the road, and finish this project so I can keep my butt on the road...maybe I could break $60k...
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

Got one of our famous 6 hr PM service today. I am making it home on time, but it took some talking to do it. Yesterday morning, outbound called and said there was no way to get me off that load and get me a Florida home run. I told them fine. I'm going to make some calls once we get off the phone. 15 minutes passed, I didn't get a chance to call anyone. Outbound called back. Not only did they have someone to take the load, there just happened to be a Lakeland load perfect for my home time.
That pretty much tells me that there wasn't much effort to get me home prior to yesterday. -

Mechanics certainly earn their money Spent the morning replacing my starter on the old '92 Skylark and although not in that difficult of a place still a pain in the ### without a lift.
Enjoying some down time, a little poker playing and some seafood gumbo. -

Picking up in Houston headed for Dallas. Figured with the holidays and drivers quitting, I might have had a choice out of Pol-Tex...but wasn't in the cards. On tomorrows GP board.
