Come to think of it - I wiped the front off a Werner truck in a parking lot (yeah, I know, right?!) - and went to the boss with head hung and sincere apologies. Worked like a champ for thm after that and still have a goood relationship with them 11 years later.

Honesty is the best policy, I guess. And - the truth only hurts once.

Did ya break out the magic marker and scribble another mega carriers name on the side so no one would think twice seeing the accident? :0

I broke a swift trailer rear doors once- reported it - took it to a trlr shop

i just love love love love the guys that leave trailers with flats and other problems only to have someone willing to waste his time to get it fixed

I wouldn't do it unless the company paid me for it.

No- swift doesn't do pay. I had no choice. I was at a purina dog chow factory in Nebraska and had 3 trailers in a row broke, they were beaten like dogs because every single load was baseline legal 45,000

Go do research on companies that hire in your area and fill out apps. Pick the one you like most that is willing to hire you. Try not to hit things and you will get better opportunities.

Jbs terminated me for company policy safety reason. Clean record besides that, went to work for a year with a less than stellar company and then got a better opportunity.

A year after jbs fired me I went from 34cpm to 50cpm with better hometime and same miles.

I busted up a door on a brand new trailer and personally apologized to my boss. He said don't worry about it, the shop will fix it up quick.
