Never got a limo when I ran linehaul. Room service, breakfast buffet, complimentary free drinks and discounted restaurant food though.

    UPDATE

Well i have a road test on friday for a water truck driver. 4 and 2 schedule 12hr shifts. Only thing im concerned about is they run 18s and i learned on a 10. I know its not too hard to use the splitter but im just gonna run it like a 9 unless he wants me to split it. I told them I've only ran 10s and he said no big deal as long as i don't royally f something up

Don't worry bout the 18 speed. In no time you will be using all them gears, up, down, sideways lol. Then u will wonder how you ever drove a crappy 10 spd.

Never ran an 18. Prolly the same as a 13 speed except you can also split the low range gears. I don't think they will care if you split or not as long as you can demonstrate that you can keep the truck moving. Keep a cool head, don't stall, then experiment with the splitter once you are fully hired. Good luck.

Thanks guys i'll be so happy if i get the gig, beats otr by a million miles. pays pretty good also 20 hr plus ot and 2 dollar raise after 3 months. And you can't beat that 4 and 2 schedule. It's tri-axle by the way.

I'm pretty confident in my abilities but the one thing that scares me the most is starting out in the winter. PA isn't the best on keeping the roads clear, especially the back roads and dirt roads, which is all I'm going to be driving. Not to mention some of the lease roads are sketchy at best on a normal day. No way in hell am i gonna try and keep up with the other guys. I'll be on nights to start

I started LTL, but my companie put me with other drivers until I felt ready to do it by my self, a lot of the beer companies hire newbs and a good number understand they have to put you wiht another driver for a little while so you can learn the ropes if you have no experiance of your own

Yup. If someone is into gambling, I'm sure that OTR is quite the rush. You're either going to net a good amount or take home a paycheck that's similar in size to a burger flippers.

SHH dont say bad things about OTR, if you do that people might start doing research and find out they dont have to go OTR

I like all the local gigs in my area that people who just pass by on the interstate have no clue about =)
