TA in Santa Rosa, NM. Edwardsville fixed my truck but it sat for nearly three hours because they never told anyone it was done. Saddest part was that they called me at about 0900 to ask me where I moved it to. Told them that the last time I moved it was to put it in front of the quick lane door at 0630 like I was told. Apparently the mechanic assigned to fix my heater fan said he couldn't find it.

Some peoples kids. At least it got fixed in time for me to make delivery in Flagstaff on time. A close call with a service failure, my first, because I fouled up the scale ticked and the tcall was refused.

As far as trucks go, I'm considering a T700. Being KW familiar I'm pretty sure I can handle most minor things on one of those. I only wish I had the credit to buy rather than lease both to reduce costs and time in debt.

after 2 yrs here, have my first major issue with pay. started with ross acct dec 1. was told will be paid hourly or mileage whichever is most. was not given any numbers cause luis( fleet manager) was sure. found out week and half ago we were suppose to be making 120.00/day minumum. was only paid mileage which didnt come close to that. i made a few comments to luis b4 about chewcks being lower then what i was getting doing walmart. anyways, he told us (4 other drivers) to go to safety and get our logs for december. then he said he was going to go thru them and see what we made that day, then if lower than 120, he give us the differance. he said starting jan 9 we were getting paid hourly(16.50/hr). got my timecard last tuesday. so i checked this tuesday pay and only paid for 2 trips on the 8th and 9th of jan.of course, luis not here today. went to my dm and showed him the payckeck and said not tooo happy waking up and dealing with this. now i have to stew all weekend over this till luis comes in monday. wont be a good day for him:biggrin_2552:

Here at the T/A in Heath, OH. Could have gone all the way back to the DC but what the heck. I am beat. Productive week. Talked to both of our new planners this week and they are now working with me. Pretty much getting to run where I want, up and down I-71 to the Cleveland/Akron area and over to Indy an back. They said that this is not that many miles to which I replied, let me avg about 2100/mi per week and 20 additional stops and I am a happy camper. Now in 3 days I have been where I want and already averaged over 350/miles per day and the next pplan that I have 390 miles with 3 additional stops. Happy camper now. Now in another 10 days vacation for 3 weeks. First real vacation in 4 years, and not staying in the country. About 7k miles away. YeeHaw

At ta in Lexington VA. Have a early drop then pickup short distance away to tcall in Decatur. Had 5 shorty runs planners need help on, said they would give me some good miles after and I don't consider this great but maybe they have something after, well will see. I'm just glad to be away from Ohio and the 33 and 35 lol.

    Rawlins, WY at TA.

I picked up a load of cans in Worland, all of 8k.
The closest place to fuel was here, which adds nearly 90 miles to my trip. With the hours coming in the next couple days I was worried that I might not get to IN by 0800 on the 19th.
But just as I pulled in I got a message telling me that the new delivery window is from 0800 - 1215. That gives me plenty of room.

I could have driven further today, but with 65+ wind gusts east of here I'll just stop here until tomorrow morning.
