Abby and I stopped at Council Bluffs this morning for fuel. Took her for a walk around back that grass field was a target rich environment of rabbits. Abby got herself a big workout running back and forth full speed against her 25 foot leash. Got back up on the freeway- from the time we started our day it took 300 miles to get out of the high winds.

Good way to lose a lock ... I've had more than one cut off a trailer, to get me an mt.

Yeah, I saw locks (both kingpin and door locks) getting cut off at Jurupa Valley. I won't risk my lock. I'll carry seals in my pocket when I go walk a terminal yard looking for an empty and slap a seal on to hold a trailer long enough to come back and hook to it. Other than that I won't risk having to pay $40 for another door lock.

Management doesn't play at Jurupa Valley...I learned that quickly coming out of class.

I'm aware of that and if it would've taken a while I would just use a seal. In this instance they would have had maybe 6 minutes to make their move.

I Tcalled at the Decatur terminal last month. That place is a cluster. Loaded and very few empties scattered throughout their yard. After I drove through their loaded section, and what seemed like miles of red tags I found a new trailer in with all their intermodal trailers. I hooked to it, so no-one could take it, t-called, and sent a message to attach as soon as I walked back.

I hate that place so much.
