Lepton I may be partially responsible, haha. Last week, when I went to Worland, I dropped a 14 footer off that I hooked to in North Dakota. I came in on the 14, and left through wind river. When I saw the 14 foot sign on the tunnel, I called my DL who said not to worry about it, they'd make sure it headed north.
Just hit the brakes as you roll through, I'm sure you'll be fine, lol!
Now I'm at the Petro by the speedway in North Las Vegas. One of my buddies should be picking me up shortly for the game. I deliver tomorrow, and then I instantly go on maintenance hold for a B-Service. We have a terminal in Henderson, right???? I'll need to head to the nearest one. And I'm due for a 34.

I rolled with the 14' after taking a split 8. Ran the 14' tunnels with no problems, straddling the center line. Just made it to Little America and have a prime seat to watch the Seahawks.

What an unbelievably , stupid play . Thanks Pete , you should have just gone to the locker room , better yet , the parking lot instead of dropping your headset .
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Nope . We have a drop yard at the Estes cross dock on Losee Road . Closest terminal is a toss up between Jurupa Valley and Phoenix . If you were an owner op you would have the privilege of deadheading to one or the other unpaid burning the fuel you don't get FSC on. I recommend calling your DL in the morning and see if you can get a load to get your stuff handled .
Since you need a 34 I recommend Wild Wild West and some card playing . They do have truck parking .
FrankCjh_army Thanks this. -
jv terminal....amazing how seahawks had the luckiest catch in football, then messed it up on the next play. who in their right minds paases a ball when they are near the goalline, when they have lynch who can literally walk it in? game was pathetic at the end with the brawl
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Plus if they hadn't been called OffSides they might have had a chance for a 2 point Safety and a 3 point field goal to win it but it shouldn't have even gotten that far. Patriots didn't win, Seattle lost.

At Love's in Santa Rosa nm. Here for the night, not good I have a splitting headache....

Whiskey Pete's in Primm, NV. Finished with 10 hours drive time and decided to call it an early day just shy of 600 miles.
Tomorrow I have an appointment for delivery in Commerce City at 5:00 pm. I've contacted my DM/CSR to see if that can get moved up to tomorrow morning. If that doesn't pan out I'll run in to JV in the wee hours and take a 10 there or look at grocery store possibilities closer to the customer for a 10 to beat the traffic.
Already stacked with a load picking up in Moreno Valley delivering to Red Bluff, and I'd like to run and gun to finish out a half decent week before taking home time in Lathrop... in spite of the falderal in Wyoming. It will be good to get rid of this 14' trailer tomorrow. -
London, OH at TA.
I had a 2130 delivery at Kellogg's so it was full when I got here, except for reserved parking. I don't like spending the money, but I do like the availability.
No pplans all day and for nearly 2 hours after I got here.
Then I get one picking up 120 miles away in WV today (2/2) at 2130 - over 2 hours ago. A live load with no window.
It delivered in Eagan, MN at 0900 on 2/4. I guess it was meant for my home time request...
Planners smoking crack again, I suppose?
I've got less than 3 hours left on my 70 and there is a note that the shipper doesn't allow parking, so I would be stuck hosed when I got there.
And as am writing this I get another message:
NO SERVICE FAIL JUST GET LOAD AND GET IT MOVIN... WILL GET YOU TO YOUR HOMETIME AS WELL... NOTHING ELSE IN AREA GOING TOWARDS HOMETIME
So, a new Mac 9 accepting the load. I'll just do it in my own time now. -
Someone mentioned earlier they accept/reject loads on Mac-9 with new ETA's. I know in orientation they drill into you that you SHOULD use Mac-9 and carefully trip plan and respond with times you CAN make. However, the system is set up with the +1 system and it is very frustrating not only for us drivers, but for the planners and DM's as well, because if you put in times you can make that aren't within the automated +1 window, it will kick the load off of you. Furthermore, that is registered as a load refusal.
About three months into going solo my DM told me to not use the ETA's on Mac-9. If I get a load offer that has tight times, just call and ask what the windows are. Since then I only use Mac-9 to accept a load or to reject with a reason (like home time request on a load headed the opposite direction), I never modify the times on a Mac-9. I've never had a service failure using the system that way, either.
Lot's of times a planner will fire a load at you and the pick up time is ridiculous, generated automatically by the +1 system. The planner can't modify the time on the load offer. In that case just accept the load and run and gun to pick it up. Once you do the loaded call the system can update using your new ETA and PTA. On a multi-day run I'll put in the ETA per the load assignment and modify it later with Mac-22 or Mac-34 when I have a more firm time.Moosetek13, dptrucker and OceanDan Thank this.
