I'm just curious about their equipment. How are the miles? Do they do a lot of LTL?

Trucks are pretty good...last I knew a lot of newer T680s and this point 2-3 year old ProStars, most with APUs, though never told not to idle. Reefers were hit or miss, though I know maintenance staff has changed since I was there. They keep you running well for the most part if you want to stay out, most drivers were in the 42-45cpm range. No bennies, though they will pay you a certain amount for you to get your own. Layover/detention compensation is non existent, at least when I was there. This was one of the big reasons I left...left to do a lease purchase, but would have stuck around a little longer if they were fair with that. I once sat for 30 hours waiting for a chicken load to be loaded and didn’t make one cent for that whole time.
Some multi stop, as it is reefer. You do receive stop pay. The owner, Mike, is overall a decent guy, but he does get in his moods. If their mileage has gone up a little and they started paying at least industry standard detention/layover($15/hr+ after 2 hrs for detention & $125/day+ for layover), I’d say it may be worth looking into. They leave you alone to do your job if you are competent...be prepared to speak to brokers for updates a lot as it is all through brokers.

    Metallica88 Thanks this.

Wow. Thanks so much. That was very informative and helpful for me to make a decision.
Rumor has it benefits are coming in 2019. I'm fairly new to trucking but I believe I heard it's better when a trucking has customers and not dealing so much with brokers. I dunno if that's true or not.
The no detention pay sucks. I'm between Biondi,Freymiller, and Calex.

Believe me, you want to avoid brokers at all cost. That part alone would eliminate Biondi from list.

    Metallica88 and mxpx148 Thank this.
