Oh totally forgot I posted my numbers in the 9+MPG club on Facebook, but with my FASS installed I've gotten 3/10 mpg gain, which after reading several articles and a video from a engineer it's possible that there is a chance a small amount of the increase came from the oil bypass because the dpf filter captures 100% of particulate matter as small as 1 micron my oil bypass filters to 1/10 so my truck might not be Regening as often as b4 saving me a small amount of fuelCJndaTruck Thanks this.

My daughter is 16 so the heartbreak days are just starting. I'm hoping to make it through the next few years without too much jail time. Always figures if i shoot the first boy, the rest will treat her right.

Hey juggalo, explain to me how the particles that build up in your oil end up in the exhaust system? Come on man, you are smarter than that!
-
The EGR system was redesign to include turbo compounding in the DD15, it increases the amount of soot that gets into the engine. Here's the video that can better explain it http://cleanoilpower.com/2015/01/understanding-dpf-regen/ the 2nd video really explains it
-
I get how the egr increases soot in the combustion chamber. My point is, unless your rings are so shot you are burning large quantities of oil, the oil bypass filter is doing nothing for the dpf exhaust system.
-
Honestly I don't understand how soot gets into the oil in the first place, my truck uses none it doesn't smoke. When I look up info for the DD15 it talks about soot in the oil but no explanation on how it gets there or how it ends up in the dpf but the DD15 owners manual talks about it, but no real explanation

I'm getting ready to go and work for Walmart if things don't get better the avg gross three is 85,000 first year driver most drivers gross over 100k. Being an O/O is over rated. And yes I work here at Mercer which is a great company for O/O I just can't do it anymore it's to stressful and now with the Elogs and stuff,Walmart is the perfect fit because pretty soon we all are going to be robots just a number so I'm going to work for the best that offers that. And my bottom line for the pass two years is well below what I can make as a company driver I am not going to be another O/O all broken up and have nothing to show for in retirement and ####.. 2008 pete with delete avg 7.2 mpg never gets hot awesome pulling power with delete putting out 650hp one bad ### truck it's getting ready to go of the market and I'm out
-
Makes me wonder how many O/O are going to quit this year as Elog starts getting put in trucks
-
I would say that for every one that quits as a result of it there will be one that gets into it. Look at Mercer and others now that require elogs, they keep running them thru orientation, so it must not be that big of deal to many. I don't want the darn things, but I'll still make what I do with one.
