    hey jabbawokky. open your glove box and look at the build specs on that label.you'll quickly absorb all the relevant details regarding the truck that you drive. the manner in which things are written/declared is rather easy to ascertain.

    my dash computer says i used 146 gal i fill up might get 147 gal my avg mpg says 6.8
    download says 6.78
    basic math gals by miles concurs
    no errors ever

    Its not written 3:55 tho either. Its 3.55:1 the reason is the drive shift spins 3.55 revolutions to rotate the tires 1 revolution..just to be technical:biggrin_25525:

    i was looking at the new specs knight and swift have ordered.

    auto 12's. detroit green gas emission engines. 2.42:1 on the rears.

    guesstimated mpg is 8.

    I personally drive a 10 spd cascadia, skirted trailer plus trailer tails that are in almost all of the trailers I've picked up lately and still haven't managed over 7.7 yet.

    I did see my trainer when I was in his truck accomplish 9.2 in a 531 mile run. He did drove flat roads mostly that day and wind was fairly calmed, so it will depend on many factors I suppose.

    They'd be wrong.

    Most of the new trucks aren't getting anywhere close to the mileage claims.
