I am wondering if you are allowed to have any Codeine in your system if you get tested? I had a tooth pulled yesterday and and taking Tylenol 3 with Codeine.

Also, how long does it take Codeine to leave your system?

Take the script to the drug screening because the codeine will show. Codeine not allowed. 72 hours to be completely out of your system.

Yep, 3 days and to be legal you can't drive while taking them anyhow. You are stuck at home. Kick your feet up and rest.

    Hey loose_leafs!

The following is a link to the December, 2014 issue of Heavy Duty Trucking. Please see pages 20-21, Advisors Recommend Restrictions On Prescribed Narcotics For Drivers. (I left-clicked on the page with my mouse, and the page automatically zoomed to full screen). According to the article, right now drivers are permitted to work while taking "these drugs" (pain killers) as long as they are prescribed by a physician who is familiar with their condition.

Please holster your flame throwers, guys! I'm not advocating the taking of these drugs by any driver or implying they are safe. I'm just quoting the article...

The article goes on to discuss the "recommended language" for new legislation that addresses the prescribing of narcotics to commercial drivers, as well as some of the "pros" and "cons" of the legislation.

Hey! If you're gonna use, go work at McD's. Bunch of scumbag druggies you truckers are. Light on the salt too!!!!!!

lol. I had an instance just like this. I was put on muscle relaxers and Darvaset after I threw my back out. It sucked. But if you have a drug screen, best to do is bring your pill bottle. Or ask your safety manager or if an O/O ask one of those CDL specialists.
