I was driving a single screw daycab and a local PD pulled me over and said my tires were squatting and asked to see my bills. Since I had multiple stops in the box, I only handed him the first set. 8,000 lbs. He asked to look into trailer, I told him he'd have to sign my bills since it was a sealed trailer. Well, he wouldn't have any of that and gave me a "have a nice day and drive safe."

Yeah, I was overweight and I knew it.

I recently got pulled over in Michigan, just south of Grand Rapids. Cop said I had my phone up to my face. I said I don't normally disagree with an officer but my phone is velcroed to my dash and I have a headset. I had a newer pair of sunglasses on that day and they were hurting my ears. I had taken them off but because traffic was heavy at the time, I had just put the arm in my mouth till I could hang them up.
The two cops looked at each other and said, " I thought it was a phone, what about you?" The second said, "I thought you saw it!" They looked to see where my phone was and said it was a verbal warning and let me go.
I only found out later how much money that would have cost me! WOW! If anyone is talking without a headset in a CMV, you MUST be crazy or insanely rich!

More than I can remember back in the double nickel days, for speeding. Only one I didn't deserve, he faked a speeding ticket because he heard me give a bear report on him. That was in East Texas, and since the trooper probably grew up with the JP, it was better just to pay it.

Since then? A couple times to check rear overhang (Iowa's Smurfs get boners over those tickets, I think,)and once by a female deputy just below Port Huron who just knew I was running drugs. Really? I'm going north with cars for Minnesota after running all over SE Michigan that day, and you think because I'm sweaty and dirty I'm hauling drugs? Made me late, and had to spend the night, as she held me an hour+.

A few random times at the scales for a random paper check, and one overweight ticket for snow and ice build up @ Avoca. As the Smurf is writing the ticket, I asked about the reefers who were far more overweight than I was as they rolled across, and his response was "Look at how much more snow they have on them."
    :biggrin_2554:

Compared to what I have stuck to my carhauler?!? I don't think the sound of my jaw hitting the counter amused him much, but when you hear so much stupid, it's hard to keep it from dropping!

Hi patty, got a little problem with "PUCO", hey? They hate trucks in Ohio. "Hey, Ho, way to go Ohio".
Driving for an O/O friend of mine pulling a "Bakemark" trailer, ( he did work with Bakemark and sometimes we used their trailers), got pulled over by a county mountie, who claimed he had 3 cell phone calls about a Bakemark truck all over the highway, cutting people off. When he saw I was sober, and not belligerent, he let me go. When I got back to Bakemark the next day, told them I got pulled over, turns out, there was a Bakemark driver with some price on his head, and cops were stopping every Bakemark truck. Nice, hey? Obviously, I didn't fit the description of that driver, whew!

Was driving thru northern New Mexico on I25, snowing like holy hell, easy 6" of snow on the road (new mexico doesn't really do snow removal) and at some point another driver from same company also going south had passed me and while the right lane had tracks, when you got out in the left lane to pass it made a hell of a white out. But sorry, I'm not doing 15mph 2" off someone bumper.

just before Las Vegas (NM) like 3 cops get in front of me and pull me over. I gently stop (i ain't going over, I"m driving by braille (the drunk bumps) anyway. And they guy comes up and says "we got reports of two MBM trucks driving like crazy.

Ummmm not me officer, you saw me.

Can you contact the other driver (that was obviously WAY in front of me) and tell him.
I don't even know his name officer (truth).

So, I got pulled over for someone else driving too fast.
    Kinda funny really.

I have mostly been stopped for random paper work checks and to put me on the portables. Coming out of farms will get the portables broke out every time. Had a Arkansas trooper write me up for 108 in a 65. Before the CSA crap it took a roll of paper to read my MVR report.
