4000/7= 571. It can be done, in some states, if the stars are properly aligned. I have to imagine the number is figurative, or imaginary, intended to convey "all the miles you can run".
I once ran +17K in a month. I don't know why I'm not ashamed of it, I should be.

First question--what is your definition of a week?Where I think most newer drivers get hung up on these topics is: they fail to realize this is a 24/7 365 biz...4000 miles in 7 days is a walk in the park...face it..it is less than 600 miles a day...and when you look at runnin 600 miles a day--it really isn't that big a deal now is it...many here have talked about workin that hard...depends on your definition of work...sittin on my ### and ridin for 600 miles isn't workin hard in my book..of course you need the freight to do it...you cant be sitting at C&S for 6 hours--but it doesnt have to be drop and hook either....my normal trip to TX is right at 4k and all that hinders me is the amount type of stops..on a typical 8-10 drop week I leave sun morn..and Im back sometime the following sat...and I unlaod my own freight and log the stops legally--but it is very rare I am at a stop for more than 30 mins--which only takes off 5 hours(10stops)-of course every week is different--there are many variables...but the key is it is WORK..and I look at it as such--am I creative--yes--but not in the way most of you think...I spend very little time in truckstops if any...I eat at least 2x a day--but it is almost always--at a real place--within a block or two of a drop where I can leave the truck and walk to...I do lots of odd(to many others not me)odd hours and splits--rarely stay on duty(except on the way home or on the way to first drop)many days I work 5-6 take 10--and do 8 then break--all depends on the drops etc...doing long ltl you gotta be creative--but after all these years--I am comfortable w/it
as for all yall doin truckload and discussing this...I dont see the issue..again of course you have to have the freight to make it work....but face it 4k a week on a six day week is(hope your not superstitsous)666 miles a day--in 11 hours thats jus over a 60 mile and hour avg..aint that tough--kept the left door shut and ride....
And for what it is worth--last trip--4750k--with 14 stops--left Sunday morning home late the following Monday eve--yes more than the typical week you are disscussin...but all perfectly legal..and best part is--that pays me close to 3k..by the time you add up mileage stop pay and unloadin fees...so if i want--i could jus sit at the house til next sunday...but Ill do a 2-3day 2k+something later in the week for a few xtra bucks....yall be safe--i gotta go to the dentist---LOL -
This is 4000 in a 5 day work week and home on the weekends.Which is 800 miles a day.

some people misinterpret the phrase "home weekends." What it usually means is you maybe get back late Friday night, and leave Sunday morning or Sunday afternoon. So realistically you end up actually working over five and a half days, which is still pretty tight for getting 4,000 miles in

If everything is perfect and all you do is drive. that would be just under 600 miles a day everyday. Probably couldn't be done on e-logs.
