I we are out of the truck together, or they happen to have some article of clothing from the company I will say hello, and maybe talk for a few minutes. But if not, no. I will not go out of my way to talk to them, since I value my privacy and time. And I want to value theirs.

 

start a conversation with them. see where it goes. us your own judgement.

 

I just nod. I don't wear the company coat/jacket so they don't know anyways

 

Start with secret handshake and exchange company password along with ID codes; then bum 10$.
Sniffing tandems is also acceptable.

I stopped doing that long time ago. Majority of the time I regret starting a conversation. A lot of weirdos out there !

 

I usally say hello and shoot the crap a little bit. We don't have too many weirdos that work for the company except for me

 

I will say hello or wave/nod. Talk if we are both out of the truck. I agree with Chrome, if I am in my truck or they are in theirs, that is personal space and personal time.

Unless it was when I worked for Werner, I tried to strike a conversation a couple of times at terminals or truckstops. They are the most anti social group of people I have ever seen, to include the office staff at terminals.
