    Ok problem is 7th to 8th just said it how it appeared on diagram. But you are correct if you look at that way..my apologies if I confused anyone.

    So when you preselect, and then shift from 7 to 8, she grinds or bangs? Is that what you're saying?

    I had a 13 that would bang right at that same point. I would shift it into neutral, thumb switch back, then into 8th to avoid any banging. It was only at that spot.

    I have trouble floating it out of 7th, just learning to float so how I do it is let off gas and it comes out. I doesn't come out sometimes and then I am slowing down then it goes back to six

    Preselect, run the rpms up, pull against the stick. As soon as you let off the throttle, the stick should come out and you should be able to make your shift.
