It's because they're willing to hire. It's the reason I went to them. At the time I had an accident over the last 3 years, that pretty much killed my shot with pretty much every better company. A few wouldn't hire me because of my credit, I had to pay for my own school up front and they'd reimburse me if I wanted to.

A lot of us know what we're getting into. We read on it, we know CRST sucks. But a lot of us are no strangers to the working world either. I saw it as just a BS entry-level job. Put in 8 months then move on to somethng better. I hate the company, I would never go back, I have horror stories that destroy any story on these forums... But it was the smartest choice I made. Thanks to just taking it like a man and putting up with being paid #### for 8 months, I ended up making great money on my next job (lost it to a contract :biggrin_2553: $25/hr, full medical benefits, 401k), now I'm making less and working harder, but I get to be in charge (supervisor experience goes very far when you decide you want to do a non-driving job), I'm home every night, day shift (typically 7-4). In 8 months, I haven't gone any farther than about 70-80 miles from home. All because I used CRST as a stepping stone towards a real job. And that's why a lot of people take jobs at the company, it's not a career company to them, it's just a stepping stone that's willing to be one.

image.jpg Not to mention this is the kind of slobs they take in for training. I constantly see this kind of crap EVERY TIME I see one of their trainee trucks sitting any where. I've seen them come into walmarts getting hung up on obstacles so badly a wrecker has to get them out of it, sitting in fuel islands for breaks while trucks are lined up to get fuel, etc. also, they can't be bothered to walk 20 feet to a garbage can to throw trash out? No wonder this industry has a black eye.
