A couple weeks ago my Volvo broke down on me. Would turn over and want to fire up but just wouldn't stay running. Had it towed to Volvo. They pressurized the fuel system and that didn't work so they took the injectors out to check the cups on them. They were fine, so they put new o rings on the injectors and put it back together. It fired right up. They couldn't really tell what was wrong with it but it run great now. Now, I paid almost a 1000 dollars for them to do this. I used the truck for an hour and I start smelling oil burning. I look under the truck and my trans is covered in oil. So I figured I had a bad seal somewhere in the trans. So I take to a different place and what do you know, its the valve cover gasket and its pouring out enough oil to coat my whole trans in it. Luckily I didn't blow it up. So either they used the old gasket, which to me in inexcusable or they put it on wrong, which also inexcusable. 116/hr for that kind of work. Never again. just wondering if I should even mention it to them because I have a feeling im only going to get angrier! Nobody stands behind anything anymore!

Go back and tell them what happened , at least give them a chance to make things right before you condemn them.

I thought it was normal for something to come back from a shop in worse shape than it went in, at least two or 3 times before they get it right.

Cat sdp, Dickeyroberts and chalupa Thank this.

    My saying is

"they always fix things right the third time"

Sad to say but the first thing I do is double check on whatever repairs were done.

About two weeks ago we had one of our Cascadias serviced, next morning driver notices BIG puddle under the truck, drain pan stripped, I will say the company that did the service was johnny on the spot and had there shop where we were replace the oil pan with a new one, had us in/out in the same day, no issues since.

Yeah I am going to. I'm not condemning them yet but it was a simple valve cover gasket. I will see what they say once I have the receipt to prove I had to have a valve cover gasket put on it again.
