What is the need to own. Since you need newer trailer to be California compliant leasing may easier. Importing can be a pain. Taxes, duties broker fees. If you are looking to do it go to customs office at interport in Mississauga they will walk you through what you will need and approx cost.

USUS247's only option may be to buy. It's few and far between of places that will lease to a one or even 2 truck operation. Canada may be different.

Go to Truck Paper web site under the trailer heading click on detailed search. towards the bottom of page click on search country- Canada. There is a key word blank I entered Reefer, then search and 6 pages of trailers came up.
My personal favorite is the Thermo King whisper , so I can sleep at night.
This one might work http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=5748567 -
My advice is to get a sb210 with a tier 1 Yanmar.

When buying a reefer what is the range of hours should one look for. Is 10000 hours too much ?

Look at Trailer Source in Washington State. They usually have a lot of trailers and are good people to deal with. www.trailersource.com I think they advertise most of their inventory on Truck Paper.
