Recent or not, if it turns on one lightbulb in a new drivers head that says "hey, maybe I should be alert for low bridges when I get out there", then it was worth posting, again. The lesson in cause and effect is still just as valuable, today as it was 2 years ago.
NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
how can you say that everything changes with technology.....and therefore since technology changes everything who would have thought that a trailer wouldn't fit under a 11' 11'' bridge?NavigatorWife Thanks this.

air bags aren't 2 feet tall. and he might not have a air ride trailer. to be dummping the air bags.

Well then you dump the tires.

This is Swift...spring ride...even if it was air ride, you could dump the air bags and flatten the tires and you won't get 2 feet lower. Maybe take the tires and wheels off and roll it thru on the drums.
He will probably blame his GPS for not warning him, or his eye doctor for his lack of vision for not seeing the height sign, or his company directions for it...I'll bet he #### sure won't take the blameNavigatorWife Thanks this. -
Either way he is NOT squatted down 2 feet. There is not that much movement in airbags or tires. Heck, there is not even much damage to the top of the trailer. 4-6" is all that would probably be needed. If he did squat the trailer 2 feet the top of the trailer would be severely damaged. Just because the sign says 11 foot something does not make it so.
