Agree!
To add to that, not sure what's really going on lately - well I do kindof. Sat today for about three hours while waiting for an empty trailer at the yard. There was a few trailers but I was told they were suppose to be in the shop for repairs. So finally after about three hours, I get a call to grab a trailer but a marker light is missing, hmmm. Ok, guess I can run it if it's just a marker and someone can comeout and fix it down the road.
It's really frustrating when there's no empty trailers at your own yard or anywhere nearby like there use to or the brand new weekend dispatchers just don't know how to find them. [emoji19]
After awhile you kindof just get use to being on your own on the weekends, but I do feel bad for the company drivers that have to deal with that. Like someone said before, the office is now like a ghost town, seems like it at least. Last three years you walked in and you pretty much knew everyone, last few months things changed quite a bit. [emoji15]
But what can ya do... keep your head up and keep on trucking... [emoji41]

I've done LP before and it was set up like I were a company driver meaning the company took care of all repairs and I only paid my truck lease, trailer lease and insurances and I still brought home $1,500 to $3,000 a week. It was awesome but LP's like that are few and far between! But thanks for talking to me like I'm a moron Moglar!
pete3871 and BlackLions Thank this. -

This same issue came up last yr and we were told it would improve, but as you can see nothing has been done.I just can't believe the management doesn't see what a huge issue this is.If it takes 30 to 40 people to run 300 trks during the week how can 2 people handle it almost 30% of the week? It's obvious they can't. Like I said before it's certainly not they're fault, they've been thrown into a losing battle.I do very well on a lease here, but I feel bad for a new employee that's out on the road, has major problems and can't even talk or communicate with the company, thats totally unacceptable in my opinion. When the lady that handled her recruiting is the only one that cares enough to jump into action and seek help, it shows just how bad the weekend issues have become.
I myself waited around after I sent my empty call in today(Sunday) for about 15 minutes in Dallas, gave up, went on to Ardmore OK to get my next load.Thank goodness I know the freight and the people there, so it was no problem. Its 10:30 pm right now and I was empty in Dallas at 11:00 am, so 11 1/2 hrs later I still have no load assignment. This shows how bad the system is breaking down, when even the simplest things are not being done.
Like I said before I bet many a driver decided this was all they could take and sought employment elsewhere after the kind of treatment this new driver just described here. -

Read and comprehend what he said. He had a load assignment also know as a preplan. He was just saying that Act needs more people in the office to send out the QC messages. He was able to pick up the load and be on his way since we get the full detains on the preplans and don't actually need to wait for the actual load assignment. Only thing is we can't send the arrival or loaded call till we get that loaded call but nothing to stop is from.pick up the load.
Nothing wrong with the lease program once again, just your ignorance and self pity.
Keep on bi$ching and trucking...pete3871 Thanks this. -
3 yrs on this lease . Ive only missed 3 partial payments all first 9 months of the lease( learning curve). Rearend Turbo Clutch and multiple DPF issues. Basically 9500 yr im Maintenance. Still making money paying the bills. You might not get a big piece of the pie every week. But atleast you get your share of it. Thats been my experience at ACT. And im the first to ##### about anything. At the end of the day i get a fair handshake and that good enough for me.. 7 months to go.

I was hired on as a company driver because I was told it was best to start out as company to get a feel for them, then move to LP if I was happy with them. So far I'm very happy with them. I just hope I can keep the truck I have if I go LP.
