yes i used the term murder. would it have been better if i said, she wanted someone to kill her because she was too chicken kill herself?

i guess your point about the analogy regarding the driver that had a stroke is he would be "sick" just like she was. yeah, i'd have sympathy for all parties involved in that one. strokin out isn't prob something he chose to do. two different worlds.

The driver of a black SUV meant to take her own life when she pulled out into oncoming traffic Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 35E.

The driver was parked in a striped zone near an exit ramp before pulling out into oncoming traffic resulting in a three-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck and pickup truck. Police are investigating the incident as a possible DWI and said the driver admitted she meant to take her own life.

First responders received the call at 6:25 p.m.

“We believe the driver of the Suburban to be intoxicated. She has admitted that she was trying to commit suicide,”said Sgt. Mike Lewis with the Waxahachie Police Department. “She was going at a very slow speed and as soon as the semi came, she pulled out in front of it. (The accident) is still under investigation. We are drawing up a search warrant for her blood.”

Lewis said if the driver’s blood test positive for intoxication she would have charges filed against her.

When the Suburban pulled out into traffic, it became entangled with the underside of the cargo trailer of the semi-truck and the rear wheels went over top of the vehicle's front end, Lewis said.

The driver was flown from the scene by a CareFlite air ambulance to a Dallas hospital because of injuries sustained from the collision. The incident involved three vehicles the Suburban, the semi-truck and a pickup truck. Lewis stated that the drivers of the pickup truck and the semi-truck sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Motorist Scott Oates helped to assist the driver of the semi-truck until first responders arrived on scene.

“We tried to call his cellphone and could not find it. So I started to look up his trucking company number on the phone,” Oates said. “So I got a hold of his safety people and his dispatchers

Waxahachie Firefighters responded to the scene with reports that there was an occupant trapped inside the semi-truck, which was on its side.

“The first engine arrived on scene and confirmed that the highway was completely blocked. The second engine arrived shortly after and found one occupant in the SUV that was pinned in,” said Don Alexander, Waxahachie Fire Department battalion chief. “So they did some work popping the door. They were able to free her.”

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and Texas Department of Transportation crews diverted all traffic off of I-35 and exiting them at Forreston to put them on U.S. Highway 77. The overturned semi-truck blocked lanes of traffic in the northbound lanes along with its contents that were spilled out.

The last first responders cleared the scene at 8:40 p.m.

I feel bad for the trucker, hopefully the driver wont be shaken up from it and will be able to continue driving. As for the lady, screw her. Don't give her jail time or anything else that will use tax payers money. Just give her what she wants so she will be gone from society. A quick bullet to the head.

A few months ago, I was chatting with a buddy in an online game and he said his wife used to drive trucks when I mentioned wanting to get into trucking. A suicide driver veered across the lanes and slammed head on into her truck. Didn't save the link to the picture of the truck, but it was pretty much destroyed in the front. She gave up trucking after that.

If it were me, I would have a hard time sitting in a truck again...her insurance company would be paying me to sit on my brand new boat in the middle of the Gulf doing a little worm drowning therapy...

And the professional driver's CSA score will still take a hit for this. Incredible, isn't it?
