Gordon trucks are governed at 64mph. When you first start going the truck will go 60mph but as soon as you hit a certain mpg it will allow you to go 64mph.
Don't know much about Knight but what I have heard is that they suck and to run away fast but Gordon is pretty decent and hope you get a good dispatcher.reefertank Thanks this. -
At May Trucking they charge you to idle their trucks. They have a very low percentage that they allow and then they start charging you once you go over that limit. So even when you're in the desert and its 120 degrees outside you have to watch your idle time otherwise your paychecks will start to shrink. So that's something to keep in mind if you think about going there.Chinatown, Longarm and knuckledragger Thank this.

That's one reason their driver turnover is so high.
How about Doug Andrus Distribution in Idaho Falls?
Reefers & flatbeds.tow614 Thanks this. -
I asked the recruiter twice, and she reassured me that they will not charge for idling the truck. She told me she understands being in pheniox Arizona, its 90 degrees and you need to turn it on. But that's not a really big concern, I'll have an A/C on board. (ICE/Chest/Fan).
But I'll talk to my friend who is there now. Thanks for the heads up. And yeah, their turn over rate will stay high because I don't plan on staying more than a year lol. -
Worked at Knight for 17 months. Was on the dry side out of the Indy terminal. They treated me well and kept me running.
reefertank, xlsdraw and mje Thank this. -
Just remember.....
all recruiters lie !!!!!reefertank and Chinatown Thank this. -
That's why I got a buddy who is there now lol. And thats why I'm asking people's opinion on Gordon vs Knight, since I don't know anyone personally, who works at Gordon and just met someone yesterday who is currently working for knight as an O/O I think.

Looks like my buddy is quitting MAY trucking. He sat for 18 hours without any detention pay after dispatch screwed up.
