you've got me all wrong, I believe in personal responsibility, & I don't let my GPS lead me around every little corner and bump in the road. I was in Cheyenne Wednesday morning, and what a miracle, I took an alternate route and made my delivery on time this morning in Utah.

those extra 155 miles, we're completely offset by the fact that if I didn't move, I would have idle at least an extra 24 hours, my company would have had to pay me layover pay, plus deal with a late delivery and lost back haul. Now I understand that some of you work for bottom feeders and they do not trust you to make decisions for yourself, but I am just stating my reasons that I believe Wyoming is nuts. what angers me is there a lump us all into the same boat, what if I was headed east yesterday and wanted to get to Rawlins and head to Casper? The road up to that point was fine and also to Casper.

I checked the website less than an hour ago, once again the road is shut down east of Rawlins, I've been watching it all day. So, coming from Idaho to Minnesota today, I didn't even take a chance, I went up to Montana, & I am now on I 90, rolling East, with no worries about snow or idiots getting in the way.

some do not know how to read maps, use GPS, or understand simple weather patterns. Or understand plain English and follow rules.honestly, I hope that every single car and truck that went around the barricades, got a ticket and then some. there is no excuse for that, and they need to be put on blast.

so if they want to barricade the road east bound, barricade at Rawllins. that is your last Alamo in a big truck realistically, before Laramie if you want to take an alternate route. and don't just barricade it, blockade the #### thing. Obviously flashing lights and a gate aren't going to stop people. tire spikes ought to do nicely. and I fully believe anybody who drove around those gates on Friday deserve that.

also, a sign, on the lighted boards and the plain old fashioned metal ones, stating this. " Wyoming, and its subordinate counties, cities, and districts, assumes no responsibility for any motorist or disabled vehicles, who do not obey warning signs about inclement weather, road conditions and road closures. This applies to any interstate, federal, state, or local highway. violators are subject to fines and imprisonment."

It scares the crap out of me to watch these videos

Every driver in this industry should be made to watch these videos
Hopefully it might slow down a few drivers
I am sure like with most things
It is hard to teach a old dog new tricks

Yeah, several were moving at more than a truck length per second just before impact. That's more than 50mph @ impact. Freaking idiots.

Typicallly I njoy threads like this allowing me to let my inner smart ### out for a stroll...but the simple fact is it jus ain't funny anymore...frankly its bordering on terrifying....for the better part of 40 odd winters out here...i have always felt..my driving ability and common sense would keep me outta trouble....which thankfully it has to this point.....but I'm runnin outta places to hide...it like none of the rules apply....and the amount of good hard working smart pro's gettin caught up in these things everday..is growing at an alarming rate......something really has to give.....and I wish I could offer some kind of reasonable solution.....other than its time to make testing&enforcement so unbearable that it shakes what's left of this industry to its core...:(
