Why not convert to Super Singles on the truck go to a 6x2 with a lift able axle run x line energy D on the power axle and x line energy T on the lift axle the conversion to singles only cost me $3,600 rims and tires, the weight savings was 400lb plus the weight savings from loosing a differential do the same on the trailer and you'll be lighter with only 3 axles on the ground

I don't know if Mercer would pass you on your next inspection, going with single axles. I think they require tandems but they may be on for new guys.
The older gizers like yourself and me, they tend to ignore. -
I thought about that for years: but any more, I don't think I run enough miles to make it worth while. If everything was right you could scale 12 20 20 thats 62000# on a very light rig. -
Well im next in line for a trailer. i hope its soon as i picked up my truck saturday and really wanna get it to work

We were all newbies once. I'm living proof that any monkey can do it. -
I'm sorry, was that directed at me?
-
No, it was directed at myself. However, I'm just a member of the dumb monkey club. We voted you president
